  • adjective:
    • the length between a gun and a target such that it calls for minimal effort in intending it. Particularly no allowance needs to be made for effects of gravity, target movement or wind in intending the projectile.
  • adverb:
    • Horizontally (as perspective from which a projectile is launched); right or right (in the target).
    • right; bluntly; without pretense or caution.
