In Lamarck's classification (1801-12), 1 of 2 instructions of Cirripedia, distinguished from Sessilia; the pedunculate as distinguished from sessile cirripeds. They have six pairs of biramous legs, and such as the Lepadidæ and Pollicipedidæ.
An order of brachiopods, comprising all having shells affixed by a peduncle (Lingula, Terebratula, etc.): contrasted using the Sessilia (Orbicula, Crania, etc.).
