  • noun:
    • A figure of message in which one pretends to ignore or omit anything by really mentioning it, like in: "i really do perhaps not discuss about it my adversary's scandalous venality and rapacity, his intense conduct, his treachery and malice".
    • A pretended or obvious omission; a figure in which a speaker artfully pretends to pass in what he really mentions; as, if an orator should say, “i actually do maybe not speak of my adversary's scandalous venality and rapacity, his intense conduct, his treachery and malice.”
