occluder definition

  • noun:
    • an object that partly or completely impedes the actual quantity of light achieving the eye
    • an implement designed to briefly block light to 1 attention
    • a catheter-delivered product that blocks a hole when you look at the wall of a heart. Often the occluder was created with an umbrella-type design and is collapsed up to the catheter arrives at the area for the problem into the heart. When positioned the occluder is unfolded on both edges for the problem so that pressure from both sides keeps it in place.
