- A nucleated red blood-cell created from an erythroblast, and achieving a globular, deeply staining nucleus where a chromatin reticulum can't be acknowledged. This nucleus is enclosed by a layer of cytoplasm containing hemoglobin. The normoblast becomes an average purple blood-corpuscle by extruding its nucleus.
