The listless together with careless don't care or desire; the supine together with indolent never care adequate to overcome their shrinking from task or work. The text may all indicate a short-term condition or a permanent element of personality; indolent usually indicates the latter. (See idle.) Careless is certainly not caring; supine is literally lying level on one's back, perhaps not rousing your self after all, ignobly indifferent; listless, indifferent and languid. Listless does not necessarily suggest blame.
