a really large vulture (Gypaëtus barbatus), which inhabits the mountains of Southern Europe, Asia, and Northern Africa. When full-grown it is nine or ten legs in level of wings. It is brownish black colored overhead, because of the underneath components and throat rusty yellow; the forehead and crown white; the edges of the mind and beard black colored. It nourishes partially on carrion and partially on small pets, which it eliminates. It has the practice of holding tortoises and marrow bones to an excellent height, and losing them on rocks to search for the contents, and it is for that reason called bonebreaker and ossifrage. Its supposed to be the ossifrage associated with the Bible. Known as additionally bearded vulture and bearded eagle.
