    • A graph of flow past a spot in a river versus time.
    • A graph of water table versus time.
    • A diagram showing the levels of liquid in a river daily during any period.
    • An apparatus for automatically tracking the level of water in streams or in wells, analogous toward limnograph for lakes or to a self-recording tide-gage for oceans. It has a vertical scale the height of water and a horizontal scale for the time.
