    • That which gets the same fundamental sort of construction with something else.
    • whatever gets the exact same fundamental variety of construction with something different; thus, the best arm is the homotype for the correct knee; one arm could be the homotype regarding the other, etc.
    • In biology: That which is constructed on the same program or kind, as metameres of the body; whatever exhibits serial homology. See homology. Hence— An organ or part of an organ symmetrical with or equivalent to another organ or element of an organ in the other side of the human anatomy; an antitypical, correlative, or reversed repetition of part across confirmed axis.
    • Same as homœotype.
