    • A type of warship equal in proportions or larger than a battleship, and of better speed, however with less armour and a lot fewer guns. Introduced ca. 1908 and forming the leading squadrons of WWI fight fleets but obsolescent by WWII, having already been changed by the "fast battleship" type.
