    • Of or of the geologic time, stone series, or sedimentary build up of previous of two epochs of this Quaternary Period, characterized by the alternate appearance and recession of north glaciation, the appearance and globally scatter of hominids, therefore the extinction of several land mammals, for instance the mammoths, mastodons, and saber-toothed tigers.     • Of a geologic epoch in the Neogene duration from about 1.7 million to 11,000 years back; marked by the advancement of guy, as well as the extinction for the large mammals.
